Customers have no out-of-pocket expense for our services. In most cases, you actually receive a rebate check.

 

Is there a fee for picking up my x-rays?
No, we provide free, nationwide pick-up in our secure trucks for transportation directly to our recycling plant.

How do I schedule a pick-up?
It’s as easy as picking up a phone and calling your ProMed consultant. We coordinate all transportation logistics.

 

How long does it take from the time of a request for a truck to arrive for a filmpick-up?
In most cases, our truck will arrive at your facility from one to three days of your initial call.

 

 

Procedures:


Do I need to separate my x-ray films from their paper jackets?
That’s totally up to you. At our refining plant, x-rays and associated papers areseparated for environmentally conscious recycling.

 

What happens to the paper patient records contained in the x-ray jackets?
Paper is separated from film at the recycling plant. Afterwards, it is shredded tocomply with HIPAA standards for patient privacy and then recycled into “green”products.

 

At what point in the recycling process, does ProMed assume liability for my files?
As our secure truck pulls away from your facility, ProMed takes all liability associated with your x-rays.

 

What documentation do you provide my company after our film is recycled?
Customers received settlement reports, which include accurate film weights by lots, as well as HIPAA-compliant destruction documentation.
